How to win in Roulette – Strategy

Roulette, which originates in Europe, in 18th Century France, is one of the most fun and exciting casino game. You will find many strategies or systems of playing the game of roulette. If you have played the game, you might know some classic or old strategies which are very popular. You also will have your individual way of betting on the roulette wheel. There are various strategies you can make up with your imagination.
First off, there is no right or wrong way to bet on roulette. As with other game of chance, luck is the overriding cause of winning or losing. That being said, there are some strategies in practice which works rather well at a particular time.

Double-Up
Some people swore this strategy is fool-proof. It is also known as the Martingale roulette system. In this strategy, you keep on betting, doubling up or increasing your bet until you win. It is usually used on the “Outside Bets”. For example: Betting on either Black or Red. Theoretically, it is true that you are guaranteed to win. The only problem is, to guarantee this strategy, you may need to have unlimited funds.
For example. You bet £1 on black. The ball lands on black or green. You increase your bet to £2. Then to £4, £8, £16 until you win.
The only problem of this strategy is this. Say you start betting at £1. If the ball lands on your bet on the 5th spin, your bet is £16. On the 10th spin your bet is £512. On the 15th spin it is £36,765. And on the 20th it comes to £1,048,576. And your profit will be constant at £1 only.
Betting on Individual Numbers
Now, let’s talk about the fun part; betting on indivual numbers. These are some of the new or different strategies I used in Roulette. It may be familiar to some, but is made-up from my own experience playing roulette. I’ll throw in a disclaimer that these strategies are not at all scientific. A feeling if you will. I find that some strategies work at a particular time in some tables with a specific croupier. Sometimes, I used a combination of those too.
Betting on popular numbers
In an online live casino, there is a pop-up window of statistics which shows the most frequent numbers for a particular number of rounds, usually 50 round of spins. Betting on these numbers can increase your chance. In land-based casinos, you might have to record them on a piece of paper yourself.
When you join the Roulette table, look at the previous numbers displayed on the screen. Sometimes there are frequent repeats of certain numbers. Betting on those numbers can be very profitable. Remember when betting on individual numbers, the payout is 36 times. So you can safely choose 6-12 numbers and still make sizable profit in a round.
Also in some tables, there may be 10 to 12 numbers that kept on repeating in a cycle. Just betting on those numbers without changing can win you more than 10 rounds repeatedly.
Repeat and Last Number
Many times the number that it is sitting on will repeat, that is come again. And also the number prior to this number comes back.
Last History
Say, the ball now lands on no. 17. Look at the statistics on the board. Did no. 17 came before? If so, what comes after it? Say the no. 2. Many times it will land on this number. And make sure to cover the next two grooves adjacent to no. 2 on the wheel i.e. 21 and 25 in case it slips to the next number.
Cover the neighboring numbers
Sometimes you have an itch, don’t you? A feeling that one number is due or gonna come. Always try to guard that number. For eg. No. 1 is your special number. Guard it with the two neighbors no. 20 and no. 33.
Frequently repeating numbers
Whether you play in land-based casinos or in online casinos, it seems like some numbers like to repeat themselves, don’t they? My list includes Nos. 4, 5, 16, 23 and 36.
The frequent after numbers
Have you seen some specific numbers come frequently after a number? My list are: 32 after 23, 11 after 17, 20 or 33 after 1, 1 after 2, 13 after 31, the neighbors 11 and 13 after 36, 30 after 5.
The minus or plus two back
If the last two numbers are 17 and 5. 5+2 = 7 and 5-2 = 3. Bet on the numbers 7 and 3.
